Welcome to Cedar Park

Suburban community north of Austin with great shopping opportunities

Cedar Park is an Austin suburb located at the city’s northeast. This fast-growing community offers a laid-back pace of life within easy reach of Austin’s many urban attractions. Cedar Park’s real estate mix mostly consists of attractive and spacious single-family homes, and the majority of residents commute into other areas of Austin for work. Its quiet residential neighborhoods and highly-rated public schools make it a popular neighborhood among young families—it’s even ranked the second-best place to live in Williamson County.

Cedar Park has several shopping centers, with other restaurants and businesses also located along Cypress Creek Road, Whitestone Boulevard, and Highway 183. Lakeline Mall is the largest local shopping outlet. Anchored by Dillard’s, JCPenney’s, and Macy’s department stores, Lakeline is home to over 100 businesses and also has a multiplex movie theater. On Saturday mornings, Lakeline hosts a farmers market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Parke features more than 30 shops and restaurants, including Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and 365 by Whole Foods. Costco and At Home are also located nearby. 1890 Ranch has over 80 businesses, including Bealls, Hobby Lobby, PetSmart, Super Target, and a Cinemark multiplex movie theater. The Shops at Whitestone is next to a Walmart Supercenter and features more than a dozen restaurants, retailers, and services, including Korean and Japanese-style dishes at Gangnam Zip

On Cypress Creek Road, head to The Dig Pub for on-tap craft beers or Santa Catarina for flavorful Tex-Mex. On Whitestone Boulevard, The Grove is a Zagat-rated eatery with innovative pasta dishes and an outstanding wine selection. Other standout dining options close to The Grove include Southwestern-style eats at The Blue Corn Harvest & Grill and delectable barbecued meats at Smokey Mo’s BBQ.

Lake Travis is located 13 miles to Cedar Park’s southwest and can be reached in about 26 minutes by car. Covering close to 19,000 acres, Lake Travis is a popular spot for water-based activities such as boating, jet skiing, wakeboarding, and kayaking.

The Austin Steam Train sets off from Whitestone Boulevard and is a fun way to take in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Cedar Park’s H-E-B Center is home to several local sports teams and hosts a wide variety of live performances, while Jumpstreet at the Lakeline Mall is a trampoline park that provides a fun kid-friendly day out.

Cedar Park is served by the Leander Independent School District.
